Hi my name is Kristina and I am 21 years old with a 5 month old baby boy. To give you a little about my story I was attending a University and met this guy 25, we dated on and off for 2 years I got pregnant and he wanted me to have an abortion I said no and he left. He said that he wasnt ready for a family. Needless to say I have been on my own since. My son is a very good baby he caused me some health problems in the beginning, and wants to be held all of the time but he is sooo sweet. I am currently trying to get my nursing degree but it looks like I am going to have to put that on hold. It is M-F 8-4 and there is no way I can work too. I am trying to look for a new job in the health care field but then I have to find day care see right now I get to take my son with me to work. But I am not going to last to much longer at this job. I am the only person in the office and there is no one to talk too so thats why I need a friend.

I, too, sit in an office alllllll alllooooonnnneeee all day every day. I have no windows, I don't answer phones, I don't have visitors...or even a supervisor for that matter.
I'm starting to go a little crazy.
I'm going to put padding up on my walls pretty soon.
Welcome to our Niche!!!

I haven't had much time for posting these days...I MISS YOU ALL :huggies:

Things are going on for me. On Monday I start a real job with real people and a real window!!! I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited. But now I have to get alot of stuff organized in here so that I can do this job in an hour a day, or just dissolve it altogether. Hard to say. Plus the rest of my to do list is sooooooo long. I took some advice in the organization discussion and got a day planner and i'm attempting to put my life into little blocks. I hope it works.

Then when everything is nicely organized I will take my little computer here home with me...and then I will read and write in here every night instead of every long boring lonely day. And I will have 3 dimensional friends Monday to Friday, and all you guys evenings and weekends!! What a sweet treat!

Anyway, as I said...too much to do, so I must go now. Hope you all are having a super week...and somebody pray that I don't blow the breaker in my head from overload.

Thanks.
luv y'all

I work in a cubicle! But the back is a hallway so people are walking by alot. And if you lean your seat half way back you can see the person next to you, so yeah for that! But the pay sucks and it's only part time i really need to find something full time quick soon, but no one wants to hire me because I can only work days. But I hope yall get better jobs to, good jobs.

Hi there,
My name is Desiree and I am sort of feeling like you are as far as trying to finish my education and balancing being a mom, working and a student. I work full time right now as a housekeeper and my 10 month old has daycare thanks to DHR...I plan on finishing my education to either become a teacher or translator..though translation or interpretation is my real dream..but I am not so sure if i should do something for short term so i can move out on my own so i can really support my child and I. That is my only delimma. I hopt you keep in touch..if this helps, why not try to apply for childcare assistance with your local Department of Human Services? You never know till you try..Keep your head up girl! Desiree

ALONE, wow me too.

JOB, wow want mine? I am a manager at the local CHUCK E. CHEESE. I would love to be in a box for awhile. I love kids don't get me wrong, but i love my patience to. I have been there for three years and the people i work with i love like my own family.
Right now i'm looking for another job b/c i'm just not making enough money to support my kids and me. Most people say CS, but i say when the dads decide to work.

FRIENDS, don't have any of those either. When my oldest son was born my friends split. Who would want to hang out with an 18 year old with a kid?

SOCIAL LIFE, i don't have that either. I just don't have money to waste on bars. I don't have a sitter. My 5 and 3 year old boys take all my energy out once we get home.

Does anyone feel that way?

Help for Christmas try churches ,the united way.most of these organizations will help with Christmas. You need to go to the police station and file for a restraining order on your ex for uttering death threats that is a felony and guarenteed jail time.I am in Canada but lots of people from florida here.Go to Open discussions and post your situation you will find lots of help.Sorry for your situation but we all understand. You have found a great site with great people dont be afraid to ask for help that is what this site is all about :welcome: Love Gail
