Hi
I'm new here and looking for advice. I'm 27 years old and have a three year old daughter. I lost my job last week and am not eligible for unemployment. In Indiana, you have to wait 3 months before you can get on county aid... I need help now does anyone have any suggestions??

Thank you for reading
Shanelle

Is there a reason why you can't work a temporary position until you find another job? Any temp agencies around that you can submit your resume to?

Sorry to hear about you loosing your job ~ its a tough time of the year for that. Three years ago I lost my job of 12 yrs. and worked temp jobs for a little bit, babysat at night & on the weekends ~ anything that helped take care of the kids and pay the bills, just recently celebrated 1 yr at my current job. Not making much, but enjoying it. My husband recently moved out, I have 2 little ones to worry about ~ and now looking for a better paying job before I have to sell the house and move.
Hope you are able to find something to help get you through the rough spots.

Hi Shanelle!
Welcome to the site!
Babysitting sounds like a good idea. Also any clothes your kiddos have out grown or baby things (jumper, walker, etc.) you could try to find a resale shop to buy them. Some let you trade them in for things you need now. I hope things work out.
