Like all of you, I am so happy to have found this site. I am a 26 yr old mommy of two beautiful girls, ages 7 & 9. Having to have grown up so quickly at the age of 16, I feel it's been a trying 10 years... I too have lost touch with all friends from high school and have not had an opportunity to find other single mom's who I can relate to since. The dating scene for us is a nightmare! Where do you find anyone younger than 35 whom you can relate too, that also accepts the fact that you have children??? My social life involves coworkers and my girls. If anyone is interested in a chat, let me know.

Thus far, my only interactions with the under 35 group and outside of work have been on here. The live chat option on the weekends here is great, if you haven't checked it out yet.

Welcome to the group! We're glad to see you here!

I second that welcome to you! I was going to say that I interact w/other parents at either the daycare or school my son goes through, but then, I realized, they are all 35 and up also. When did that happen? Confused

I have found many good friends on here of all ages. I think that everyone on here has a different perspective and I try to listen to them all even when I disagree. It really is good to hear from people my own age though! Big Grin

I hope you find what you are looking for in this site. I know, for me personally, it has been a great blessing! I look forward to hearing from you and you really should check out that live chat. It is a ton of laughs! Big Grin

Social life? What is that? I have given up on dating... if I meet someone fine, but I am not looking or anything. I would be extremely lucky to find a guy that wants to date a single mom. Ever since I moved to TN from NJ I have never felt like I can connect with anyone here, so I don't have many friends to go out with anyway. I don't even remember the last time I went out, with a guy or even with friends. I know I sound like such a loser don't I. I really like to go out and have fun but there is just nobody here. Anyway enough about my sad life. I would love to chat.

Jaxsinglemom,
Welcome to the site! I hope you find friends and comfort here, as I have. I am in Jax as well; however I can not fall into the under 35 group. I am always wondering .. where is the over 35 group? lol The one's that still like to have fun ... responsible fun. All of the parents I know are married and well.... old .... or immature or trying to keep up with the "Jones'" I don't fall into any of those categories.
Lately life is too busy to get out with school, work and well .. life.
Welcome again,
Carla
