I dont know if i posted this yet or not but i thought it might be helpful if i did'nt ,,,,a friend of mine sent me this a web site and on it is a field that reqiures your address, you put in your addrss and it will show you a map of your area the small house in the middle of the map represents your house and all of the red dots surronding it are *** offenders ,,,,there is also a link at the top left corner that allows you to check for offenders by name imagine my surprise when i found a guy i was dated on that site ,,,it will show your thier profile and conviction ,,,,i thoght this might be helpful to someone else,,,,kind of scary too! oh here is the site....http://www.familywatchdog.us/

It's comforting to know where the registered *** offenders are but don't forget that these are ONLY the ones who have been caught and convicted. Please remember that if a person doesn't show up on that website it doesn't mean they haven't committed a crime, only that they haven't been caught.

That is a great site, and what NolansMommy said is correct. Unfortunately, it also will show guys and girls that were 18 or 19 and dating a 16 or 17 year old whose parents didn't necessarily approve and had them charged w/statutory rape. Not trying to play devil's advocate or anything. Also, that information isn't always updated like it should be and you wouldn't want to get in an uproar about someone living down the street from you if that person had moved and the site hadn't yet been updated. Anyway, I do like that site and also use the FDLE site for here in Florida. Both great resources to use to keep your kids safe!

i just tried checking the site for my area. they don't provide PA offenders. for anyone in PA check the PA Megan's Law website at: http://www.pameganslaw.state.pa.us/ i got that one here through work.
