I took my son to laser tag wh=ith some friends and did not rent the party room-came back to my house for ice cream and cake. How about rollar skating, or bowling-BUT dont rent those party rooms-that's where its expensive-take them home for ice cream and cake! My son's B-d is in November and it will be his first birthday without his dad-his dad died of a massive heart attack in December-just before Christmas! My kids went to school that morning and by the afternoon-I had to tell them they had no daddy!

I have three daughters so maybe this is a bit too girly but what about having a christmas theme and having crafts like decorating ornaments for the x mas tree and playing games like pin the nose on rudolf??I have to say you are a brave Mom.......20 seven year olds wow!!I don't think I would take them sledding either!

Hi,

I'm new here, so I don't know if I'm doing this reply thing right. Tried it a little bit ago and didn't get my reply posted, just my signature.

For something different, try having a summer themed party. Are there any indoor pools in your area? Will it be too cold to set off some fireworks in the backyard? The kids would never expect something summery in the middle of winter, and it gets you away from the Christmas holiday and gives the birthday more emphasis.
