My parents were divorced in 1997, and ever since then, like all children of divorced parents, my brother and I split up our holidays. So, for the past 8 years, it has been Christmas one place and thenksgiving another, or Christmas eve one place and Christmas day another...

Anyway, when my son was born, my mom flew down here (My mom and brother live in the Northwest, where I grew up, but I've lived in AZ with my dad since 2001) and stayed with me at dads. So, they had a chance to hash things out, and have been friends ever since...

So, the point of my LONG story is this... my brother and his fiance, and my mom and her partner are flying down HERE for Christmas this year!! WE are all going to spend Christmas together for the first time in 8 years!!!! I cannot even put into words how much it means to me to have one solid Holiday where I don't feel like pieces of my heart are missing!!! I am so excited, I just had to share...

Talk about extended family, I hope Christmas turns out to be the most memorable one for ya. Maybe u should make a scrapbook for your son!!!

I have to agree with Pooker, I am so happy for you. That sounds like just what you and your little one need. I know that just having them there will make your whole holiday. I also have to agree unfortunately with her in that I wish most of my family were not going to be anywhere near me this year.

Found out this christmas may be my best christmas ever as someone we all know and love will possibly be here to celebrate it with me and the three here. I am crossing my fingers, toes, eyes, heart, legs, arms and if I can find anything else to cross it will be too. lol
