My son Sean started school this year and i'm going to his first christmas play next Monday I'm so excited. I'm not the only one who is excited he came running in yesterday and told me he was going to be a sheep in the play!!!!! My son is a sheep and i'm still proud i can't wait.

Has anyone got any good stories about their kids in school concerts/plays.

I have no good stories, but I too am excited to attend the first Holiday Party for my daughter, Sierra. I go tomorrow to help with her gift exchange and celebration! I'm so glad that my employer agrees that this is a very important thing for me to participate in, and is letting me take a long lunch!

A sheep! How cute...my brother was a sheep once. He was always so little, it was so cute!

Hi Rachel,
LOL...That will be so cute!

My daughter is going to be in a band concert this week. She has been a part of the band since 5th grade (she is now in 7th grade) and now goes seperately to small competitions with drums and other percussion instruments that she plays. The whole thing started out with piano lessons when she had just turned 7. Now at 13 she is not only a wiz on the piano but she plays at the school and the whole band gets better year to year. I can't wait to see how far they have come as a whole group just since last year alone. It will be fun to see. When people say they grow right in front of your eyes...it's true. Have fun and enjoy these younger years in the cute stages because it prepares them for the bigger stuff later. (Still fun but not as cute) Band doesn't seem like bigger stuff but when she goes to the smaller competitions they sit in front of judges and there is a lot of pressure. Her last competition (last weekend) there were only 4 percussionists in her group and if one made a mistake you knew which one it was. I think it was more nerve racking for me than her lol... but it went good. Thanks for sharing it takes me back to when she was little. How fun! Enjoy! Smiler

I just had the pleasure of seeing the 1st Grade Christmas play last night! They were all so cute. I think I said in another post that they were performing White Christmas. Since this is Florida, they did it dressed in beach attire! It was so cute, though!!! They did keep a secret from me until showtime! I don't know how Ty did it because he can't keep a secret to save his little bitty life! He had a solo at the very beginning! There were only 2 solos, and he had 1 of them. He is a natural born performer, and I am so proud. I think I'm still beaming this morning! I couldn't have been more proud. Those kids did such a great job! Plus, they announced last night that his teacher had been chosen Teacher of the Year! She really is fantastic w/these kids! I hope everyone else enjoys their kids performances as much as I did mine!

That is great Jen, I can picture the whole thing and I am cracking up. Beach attire..lol. I can't believe he kept that a secret either. I wish I could see pictures. I have an idea in my head but would love to see the face with the personality that is already known. How fun!!

Jack was looking for me on the audience and made binoculars out of his thumb and forefingers.. He scanned the crowd until he found me, then blew kisses..SIGH! I love him so much!!!

There were tons of recorders, so I just have to find someone to make me a copy! He can't keep a secret to save his life normally, so I'm not really sure how he did it! It was wonderful and perfect and I loved it so, so much! I'm so proud of my little performer! Who knows? I could be raising the next Brad Pitt! Haha! I am still really trying to get a pic posted of him. Maybe this weekend when I only have one 6 year old to watch, I'll be able to get it figured out to let you guys see his face! I know I'm bias, but I think he's just gorgeous!!
