I have run in to a brick wall and am hoping someone out there can help me... I am raising a 5yr old boy on my own, in Indiana. My problem is that his father never lived here and told me he could not take care of our son. He was not here to est paternity when our son was born and since then, I have chased him all over the US. It seems that he has been able to outrun my local prosecutors office. They have had all of his info, including his social for 5 years now. I finally hired a private investigator, who located his father for me but now it seems that the prosecutors office can not get him in to court. All I want is to be able to est paternity and to at least get child support. I know I can't force him to be a father.. Anyway, does anyone know of a way that I can get past this? How can I get someone who doesn't want to establish paternity in to court to do so?? I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Hey I am also from Indianapois and saw your post and thought that I would drop you a line or two. I do not care if I get suppot or not as long as the dead beat cannot take my daughter out of my home!!! My dad was a dead beat and lived in a diffrent state, it took 16years before they caught up to him and 18 to make him state to pay agian!!!
