Hello FDD,

sending you well wishes....

I don't know IN CS laws but i do know if your STBX residence is in IL, she has to move her CS case to IL if she has been there for 6 months. The CS office in her county she is in then takes the case. (assuming she is using the state CS services)

Some of my friends who don't use the service set up a bank account for the sole purpose of CS, where CS is deposited and documented through the bank.

Well "She" had made on offer, and one of the idems was the child support.
I'm not against it, they are my children and I will do my part and all.
It's just that she has yet to return to ILL with my kids.
Claims she is now a IN res. but I must pay ILL child support which is 32% of my net income.
So I'm looking for a link or something which will tell what IN child support is.

I'm not really looking forward to losing a third of my pay.
just so she doesn't have to get a job? WTF
That just makes life harder for everyone and doesn't help anyone.

Maybe those will help. I have never heard of someone collecting child support in a different state than which they reside. I know personally, I have had child support obligations moved to other states because the mother had moved to those states....though the support AMOUNT was just transferred from here in Calif., it was not recalculated.

If it helps, I currently do not have custody do to the jerk pulling a real slick one on me. I live in a different state than the kids and my employer was served with papers to send it directly to the state that he lives in that will dispense to him. From what I have been told, it is pretty universal now state to state. The jurisdiction apparently always falls in the state where the children live.
