I am moving to Florida and am wondering if that will complicate my child support collection from Westchester County, NY.
Is it best to stay in the state where the court order originated?
How tough is Florida on deadbeat dads? New York is a joke.

I'm in Michigan and after 21 months I'm still fighting with Florida's child support system.(My sob story is under the Florida forum.) It has been the most frustrating thing I've ever had to go through. If I could have avoided a UIFSA case I would have - I don't know if you have that option. Good luck! And don't give up!!!

Hope all goes well with everyone and their child support. The courts will eventually catch up with ex's and your time will come. Hang in there and good luck.

Goldenbird, have you moved to Florida yet? I see you posted Boca Raton, I live in Boca, if so where bouts are you?

I am in Illinois my son's father is in Florida and since he moved to Florida five years ago I have been trying to get child support and to be totally honest with you they have done nothing at all, as a matter of fact they have not even answered or returned letters or calls. All I can say is for your sake I hope they move faster for residents of Florida who are trying to collect child support from another state than they do for non redidents trying to collect child support from someone in Florida. I wish you a lot of luck in your journey's dealing with the state of Florida and child support.
