Hi friends. My ex and I have been divorced now for 11 years, and in all these years she still treats me with great disrepect and never stops lying. We physically and legally share custody of our teen age daughter (14.) About 4 months ago my ex wife told me I could stop paying child support. I was so happy and relieved. I make about $42,000 per year and own a small ranch...she married the boss she had an affair with 10 years ago and their combined income is around $250,000. She basically made me pay child support just to bust my chops. I never did anything to her except love her and treat her the best I could and even worked 2 jobs so she could stay home and take care of our daughter when she was an infant for the first 3 years.

Our divorce decree states that I cover all insurances for our daughter and that any out of pocket expenses are to be divideed equally. Well, my daughter just had 6 cavities and even with the dental insurance the out of pocket expenses cost over $350
and my ex paid me $28 towards that total and refuses to pay anymore, stating that since she was gracious enough to stop the child support it was now MY sole responsibility to pay all out of pocket expenses towards our daughter's medical and/or dental bills. My ex has been kind a few times in the 11 years of divorce, but overall has lied to me and hurt me so many times that I can never trust her. Why does she do this to me when Clearly- she can afford to help pay her half. The child support was only $20 per week, but does help at home a little as now I can afford a newer car and sometimes take my daughter out to eat. I have been all alone, very lonely, and sad for many years..and my ex could care less. How do I deal with this?
She told me today that either I pay all out of pocket expenses or ELSE I can start paying child support again. I cannot afford a lawyer, and do not want to go to court again either. Our agreement to stop support was never written either- so I am very nervous about this. I asked her today to sign something to the effect that I am released and have it notarized, but she said she would only do it if I agree on the contract to pay all out of pocket expenses from now on for out daughter. HELP!!!
