Woo Hoo! I got my first direct deposit CS payment today. Our original order called for him to pay me directly. This worked for awhile, but the past few years he decided to pay me whenever he had it, throw it at me, etc. etc. He's been in arrears since August & I'd finally had enough and gained the nerve to go to the enforcement agency & have the payments made directly to the state to avoid the nastiness it has caused. Of course now i'm dealing with the short-term nastiness that i knew would ensue - he hates me and is calling me a money hungry beeotch among other choice words. I know it shouldn't bother me because i know that's not the case. The 35 yr old loser is only working 3 days a week pouring beer at a pizza parlor. The amt he is ordered to pay is laughable - it doesn't even cover 2 weeks of daycare/preschool. Yet, he couldn't even pay up. Now, he found out my salary and seriuosly thinks he shouldn't have to pay anything because 'i make so much money'. Alrighty, then...So, he says he's going to take me to court to get the amt lowered - sad that he actually wants to give his son less than the piddly amt he's ordered to. He's so dumb that he doesn't realize since the initial order our son's health insurance & pre-school expenses have gone up considerably & he'll probably owe more! .

Sorry for the rant - this was supposed to be a happy post Smiler Although, i must go back to the enforcement office tomorrow because they don't seem to be collecting the arrearages yet & i want to find out what's up with that.

Congradulations!!!

Sometimes in the past, I wondered what was his major budgeting decision with the petty CS my EX had to pay. (CS/Beer fund or CS/one less date a month)

He really didn't. And, I couldn't fathom 13 mores years of his BS. He would call me at work & tell me to swing by during my lunch break to pick up X amt of money. I'd tell him just hold it till Sunday (his visitation day), and he'd seriously say 'I don't know if I'll still have it then'... Huh??? I don't get that.

LOL - I don't know your intentions, but YES i'm dying for a cup of "coffee"!

Anyhoo - no more payments lately. It's a good system for people who actually work! At least i have gotten the groundwork done & now someone else can keep track of what he owes & next year i'll get his tax return should he file, and maybe, just maybe, someday he'll work a legit full time job & everything will already be in place. *sigh*
