Question...I have an agreement with my ex that is not a good one. He lied to me and told me that he made much less money then he did and promised to pay medical bills and get insurance on him. We had it actually legally done and had attorneys but now he is not paying like he is supposed to and has not done anything about insurance or medical bills. When I called my attorney about this he told me that i would have to give him another HUGE retainer to get this back to court and to get it fixed. I do not have the money for that so I feel as though I am stuck and can not do anything to make this situation right. I mean I would not be in need of his money if I had enough to pay more attorney fees. Does anyone know if you can do child support without lawyers or if there is a way to get child support and an agreement reassesed after it is made? Any info/advice anyone can give me I would truly appreciate thanks in advance!

How long ago was this child support order signed by the judge. You can go in for a modification every 2 years, or sooner if there has been a substantial change in circumstances.
You could go to your local child support agency, DA's office, and have them handle your case. They would require him to provide income/expense paperwork....proof of income. They used to charge nothing for having child support ran through their office, but I just recently read in the newspaper that they were going to start charging $25 for doing that. I think it was $25 a year, not a month, can't really remember. But they will do it without having to pay attorney fees.

Thanks for the info. Our agreement was only made in July...so I probably am just screwed for awhile huh? The agreement was made based off of his word unfortunately we were told that he was going back to school full time and was going to be working only part time so the agreement was based on what he would be making as a part time employee. He lied though and now he is working a full time job and an extra job where he works nearly as many hours in the evening and weekends as his full time job. So he basically has two full time jobs and oh did I mention he is not in school at all now. So yeah he lied and now he is not willing to hold up any of the agreement I found out recently. He told me he refuses to pay my childs medical bills and that he will get the support to me each month but based on his own time and not on the times agreed upon in our actual agreement. My attorney told me that I was not making the best choice when I signed the agreement but I thought that it was going to be the best for my child if we did not argue and continuoulsy be in court. I guess I was wrong since now my finances are getting all messed up because of all of this.
