I am a single mother of one. My 8 month old dayghter's father never comes to see her and never pays child support. She does not miss him because she does not know him. Honestly I (and her too) have gotten used to him not being around. He is on the super deadbeat dads list. He is on probation for dealing drugs and has violated that probation twice! He really is no good for my daughter, just as he was no good for me. He only thinks of himself and spends his money buying boats and speakers and expensive trucks and clothes. He has a son with another women who is five years older than mine. He always paid him child support but never visited him. I am beginning to think that he can not afford his expensive (and criminally dangerous) lifestyle and two kids by two women. He told me when I was pregnant that he wanted another son, but he did not get that. Is there anyone who is in a similar position as me or knows of anyone like me?Does anyone have any advice on what to do or what not to do? I really despise this man but love my daughter with all my heart. In some ways I feel she needs him, but in other ways I feel she doesn't because he would only set her up for dissapointment and despair. She has other really amazing male figures in her life who blow him out of the water. I am also not currently seeing anyone and do not plan to, so she has all of my attention with no man-in-my-life to get in the way. Personally, the relationship with my ex really turned me off to any in the future. He emotionally abused me constantly, and came close physically several times, but instead punched the walls and not me! When he was put on house arrest in the beginning of my pregnancy, I begged him to quit smoking (and selling) pot. His reply, "I can't quit smoking pot and deal with your pregnant a*#.." and, "We need the extra money." So needless to say I left him. I was not subjecting my child to an environment like that, who would?
I could go on and on about him and this matter, but I do believe that would take days. If there are any thoughts out there,
