My daughter is 15 now. Her mom Denied she was my child until she turned 13. I have paid child support on my own with out a court order since that time. Now I want joint custody. Her mom says if I try to get it she will sue me for back child support! Can she do this when she denied the child was mine for 13 years?

Hi!
She probably can sue you(the legal system is crap), but you can go to court and say just that. She denied me my rights as well as my paternity. Any judge will consider both sides to the situation and make a decision based on what he thinks is best for the child. I think that that would be a risk I was willing to take. As far as your daughter is concerned you have been absent for 13 years and she needs you to be willing to fight for her. That's just my opinion, I know that it means little, but I hope that I helped.
