hello everyone. I am so lost, I don't know what to do. I had my daughter 2 months ago. I had a one night stand with her father and have been unable to get ahold of him ever since. I told him i was pregnant and that was it. He moved, changed schools and changed his cell phone number. I'm not even sure of his last name, I am so depressed. I am finally relizing the fact that i may never be able to find him. How far will the courts go to help me find him? Please help, any thoughts are appreciated.

First off, listen to DD...you have a lot going on whether this guy is found or not.

Next, I don't think that's it's going to be impossible to find him. If you know his old cell phone number, then company records exist that should tell you exactly who he is...the problem is just getting those records. Have you talked to a lawyer?

How do you know that he moved and changed schools?

First I need to ask a question. Why are you looking for him? Do you want child support or closure? Just be careful. You made one mistake (not the baby, sleeping with him to begin with), don't make another one. as far as support goes all you need to do is go to your county social services and give them all the information that you have. Let them find him.

Yeah...I wasn't clear in my last post, but it sounds like child support should be your only goal here.

i am looking for him because he had a child and needs to be accountable for his actions. No matter how much I screwed up my little girl deserves to know who her father is. I'm looking for child support, not because I need the money, because he needs to put in his fair share. I am a little worried that I'll find a man that is nuts or something, but that's a risk i'm going to have to take. As far as trying to start a relationship with this man, that is the farthest thing from my mind. That's something I wouldn't even consider. I know that he moved and he changed schools, because I tracked down the girl that brought him to the party that night. She was dating his roomate and was told about him moving.

Good luck finding him you dont know this person do you want to take the chance. he ran when found out you were pregnant do you really need his kind? Do you want to go for testing to make sure baby is his?
