Wow... here we go again. Okay, as you know I just went through a CS modification in which the new amount began in December 06. Yahoo! He was paying $250.00 a month and it went up by more than double. I had not filed for an adjustment for 12 years because I knew I would go through heck with the the ncp, but I knew our child needed it. Anyway, ncp filed an objection to this new order because he only made $65,000 a year (??) and then called the day before the hearing to drop his objection; hence, the order was sent through by the Judge. It is April and he is late two months- this month and one prior month (no payment was made in December 06), but because he is trying to make regular payments, the CSE will not do anything but send out late notices to him. I called them today and they said there was nothing they could do, but he did obtain new modification paperwork because he just filed his taxes and was making less.

He also has his new girlfriend living with him with her two young children.

We were never married and paternity was established. I moved out of his state with our son to be near my family and to attend college. He has never attempted to come here to see his child. Just last year I started flying our son to the nearest airport and he did not want to reimburse me for the ticket because he had to drive six hours to go get him.

I know he lies about his income and he shares property with his family (it is in his and their names). I cannot prove the income, but I do keep track of his livestock purchases.

I am mad that he may likely obtain a modification that will most likely be lowered. What can I do besides wait and see what happens. Any ideas or calming words. Thanks!

Hi KCmom, I don not know the child support laws in Ohio but here is a link to a site that may help.

http://jfs.ohio.gov/Ocs/interstatestaff.stm

It is very frusterating knowing that he is making that much money and not doing his share.

.....as for you Anna Marie I am in the same boat as you, only I have 3 daughters that I have been supporting on my own for 13 years. Just because our situations differ from KCMOMS does not mean that her children should not get the support that they deserve.
