I am New to SFV

Monday I am turning in information of my case to my local delegate. I will see where this goes. However, one thing I do believe is that the laws in the states and on a federal level need to be revisited. There are far too many people that ignore the court orders to pay child support and the system frankly inches along if at all. I do not know of any group organized to have the custodial parents voices heard on this issue. Much like MADD I think getting organized is the only solution for current and future custodial parents. If anyone knows of any organizations, or thoughts on how to begin one for this problem that effects 10's of thousand of children - please post

I have yet to hear of an organization. I totally agree with you us custodial parents do need an organization there are many organizations out there for non custodial parents so why can we not have one too. I really have no idea how to get one started maybe contacting the founders of other organizations, or asking our congressman/women for help and advice might be an option.
I am a mother who has been trying to get at least a child support order for almost ten years and thus far have met a dead end every time.
If I can be of any help at all please do not hesitate to contact me @ corneogoglio@msn.com. I will do what ever I can to help you in this because all of us custodial parents need to band together as one if we will ever get some type of federal guidlines that all states need to follow and have a standard way of going thru each state. As of now I have to deal with 3 states for my child support issues my own and two other states where my sons father and my daughters father lives and there is no consistency in how any of these three do anything regarding child support.
