Glad you posted. I'm sorta crunchy myself. Smiler

Breastfed my daughter until she was three and a half, and we still co-sleep.

I'm fairly open to things, and love talking to other parents who are also kinda crunchy.

"Well, try that with a 12 year old that insist on crawling into bed cause she had a bad dream.

Every wake up with a big Ladies size 9 foot on your face? yeah...not pleasant. Not to mention, getting covers stolen...and whacked by an elbow once or twice.

What am I sposed to do? she's my little kid. Smiler

I sleep with Trey everynight when I have him. The other nights he is with his mother because I work the late shift (that is changing though with my promotion). His mother gets irate at the fact that I let him sleep with me, but I could careless. He likes it, I like it, and we both sleep for at least 10 hours that way Razzer

You know, most countries co-sleep. For some reason the states are very against it.

There are those instances where a baby gets smothered, but just about everytime that has happened it has been an alcohol or drug induced slumber.

i couldn't imagine not cuddling up with tobi. he actually takes my arm and wraps it around himself! (so freakin' sweet)

When my daughter was born, we lived in a homeless shelter for young 'unwed mothers' (lol!). They wouldn't allow us to sleep with our babies and would call child protection authorities here if we were caught. I got around it by having a bassinet right beside my bed, and if the door was opened quickly popping her in there, but seriously, you'd think they'd encourage bonding between mother and child! My daughter likes cuddling with me, but she won't sleep if we're in the same bed anymore, so she has her own room. I miss it!

I always sleep on my side with my knees curled up, when Macie (13 yr old) was a toddler she started snuggeling in next to me on her back with her knees up and she would slip her little feet in between my knees, she still does it but of course her legs strech down to my calfs. I am sure going to miss sleeping with them after I tie the knot Frowner!!!!! I will have to sneak away from time to time to cuddle with them Smiler

tobi does this too.. either that or he will press his feet up against me - i think it is soothing for him to have pressure on his feet.

It's funny, but I was so anti co-sleeping before I had my daughter.

Then I had problems nursing...and she was awake constantly..and it just ended up making more sense to have her in my bed.

I know we'll have to transition to her own room in time, but they're only little once right?

And she'll be out of my bed before college right? RIGHT??? rofl

My 5 yo daughter likes to sleep with her arms around me and my arms around her. With 3 kids that want / need to snuggle with me the 9 yo daughter and 8 yo son take turns as Molly not into sharing HER daddy with anybody.

I would rather they go to sleep by them selves as I like to stay up late but Molly will only go to sleep if I'm next to her.
