I am New to SFV
Posted
hi everyone. I'm new here and found this by chance. I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm the mother of a beautiful 14 month old baby boy. However, I've not seen my son's father since I was 6 months pregnant. I would desperately like to have a picture of his father to give to him when he's old enough, However, short of hiring an investigator, I've had no luck. He is an officer in the airforce. Does anyone have any advice? I appreciate any help!

Oh, wow! Are you yourself in the Air Force? I have only been in the Air Force for about 2 years but I know that if you know where he is stationed at, you could definitely get a hold of him. Its a shame that an officer would do such a thing! If you need any help, I would be glad to help you! Do you know where he is stationed at and what his full name is? If you don't know where he's at now, at least where he was last located at?

Can you use your 'Freedom of Information Act' to get the basic information via a JAG office or the Air Force equivalent.
Or would that be invasion of privacy?

the AF has rules about this. you should DEFINITELY get in touch with an AF base close by. get the base operator and get the # to legal. they will be able to help you out. let us know what happens. if he doesnt help you out, man, thats just a disgrace to the AF.

Get in touch with your nearest AF base, and talk to legal. They will help to take care of you. The military is not too keen on a man walking out on a pregnant woman. They should help you not only find him and possibly get a picture, but establish support as well. Good luck!
