Hi everyone, I'm a freelance writer working on a feature article for a national women's magazine. The article will profile a woman who was in over her head in debt because of a divorce -- and who found a way to dig herself out and get back on track financially. The article will share her success story and provide real-life get-out-of-debt strategies for people who find themselves in similar situations. Are you -- or do you know -- someone who fits the bill? If so, please contact me ASAP. Thanks so much!

Why does it have to a woman you're profiling? Single fathers have just as much trouble with debt..

My ex boyfriend has an ex-wife that sued him for everything in the divorce. He had to sell the family home so he could give her half of the equity. She walked out with $50,000 cash, the bank took his half because she drove the family into bankrupcy with her credit card spending.

Now he pays her almost $2000 a month in child support, and he is still paying on her student loans she took out while they were married.
