I did my divorce papers myself. I ended up getting an attorney just to represent me in case of an actual trial, but they said that my papers were done as well as a professional, but I did them at home on my own computer.

I've done papers for a few friends and they saved tons on them. What I'm wondering is: if I made up a fill-in do-it-yourself kit that could be customized for each state, with all of the necessary papers in it and optional stuff - like the Motion and Waiver for the spouse, and a Pauper's Affidavit, etc. - would anyone else be interested in a copy?

I was thinking of just making a packet up and keeping on hand for those on the forum who needed a little help.

I'm not an attorney. I'm a paralegal - I've got experience in the field, but I don't have my degree yet. I'm not doing this as legal advice, it's just a do-it-yourself thing. You'd be responsible for looking up your state's filing requirements and laws on your own, but this would be a guideline that could get you started and hopefully save some money.

Would anyone be interested in something like that?
