Need some advice on how to deal with separation.
My son is only 10 months old and his dad left us 3 days ago, and is moving 30 hours away. There will be no child support and no visitation. My son already is asking for 'papa'. It breaks my heart. I just want to cry. I don't want to raise my son alone, I want him to have his papi. Help.

Why no support? I mean I would also hope that some sort of visitation can be arranged, but absolutely regardless....you should get support.
Being only 3 days, yes I'm sure it feels much longer than to hear "only 3 days", maybe a little more time will help to work something out for contact....even occasional phone calls. Now of course I also don't know the details of the split, but hopefully he doesn't plan on just not keeping some sort of contact with his son.

I completely understand your situation. My husband left me in September. Not only did he leave me with my then 15-mo old son, but he left me with the house mortgage, credit card debt, etc. Since he makes less than I do, the child support that he does pay does not even cover half of daycare costs. When he said he was leaving, I asked him to help me with our son. He said "no" and that he was uncomfortable at our house. Now that he is all settled in w/ his girlfriend, he now wants to see his son more and introduce him to his girlfriend. As you can imagine, this has been a very difficult situation. But I can tell you, that I do feel so much better as time has passed. Yes, being a single-parent is difficult, but you will be able to manage, and your son will be just fine. He has a mom that loves him and he'll know that you will always be there for him. Hang in there.
