Today was the final hearing for our uncontested divorce. My ex didn't even both to show up for it. The whole thing was over in 5 minutes. After 10 years together, it was done. I thought I would have been dancing out of the courtroom, but instead, it kind of sucked- failed marriage #2. Not that I'm depressed, I guess I'm just not as excited as I thought I would be. I'm jealous that he's already moved on with his life and I feel stuck having to pick up what's left of mine. I hope this is normal and passes quickly, because it is so not me to be negative. Did anyone else feel this way? Please tell me I'm not the only one! Let me know- it would be great to hear from you.

Hey Donna ..you're not alone here. My divorce was final after 15 years of marriage. Unfortunatley I was the one who didn't show up for ours. I had a great excuse though; I moved from FL to GA and had no sick days left to where I could fly home for the day. It sucks and I'm still hurting from it. I still in a way feel like I've failed. I hope this feeling too will pass along with the emptiness. So you're not alone out here!!!

Prayers are with you both. Times of sorrow do pass it just takes time to heal. Give your self a break and it will come. Someone once told me that divorce is similar to a death and morning has to take place before one can move on.

I know I cried on the stand with mine. When you had to go up and talk and say that yes, it is over and no way to fix it. My ex didn't show up, his dad did. And he just stayed in Missouri. But he had already moved on before it was even filed with his stripper gf who he had gotten preg. So.. what can I say. I know how you feel! Just keep your head up. Everything gets easier with time.

I too finalized my divorce this week. It was also a default non-contested issue. She didn't show up. I was granted sole-custody of my son and everything else I asked for.

I felt so heart-broken when I left. I felt so bad for my son, and it hurt me also. You are definately not alone.

I just separated a month ago and feel like I am grieving. It is very hard to adjust to the new empty life. Thank God that I still see my kids almost every day, I stayed within 3 minutes from my house.
I feel very bad for the kids that I don't live with them anymore. With time they will too adjust and get used to it, I hope. I thought that when she kicked me out I would feel better being away from my wife but it is not the case.
Time will heal all wounds though right, it just sucks haveing to go through the tough times.

We're not alone, this is a great place to get rid of your emotions and get some fresh input from others.
