hi all im new here and well i was beosing and didnt see a topic on widows or widowers... i recently lost my wife 2 months to this date. it has been a very hard and trying time. was wondering if there were any people around that have been in my shoes and could lend a little advice. have a great day all!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the group. Yes, you have company here. I lost my husband coming up on 2 years this May.
I understand you are in a very painful place right now. I know you have heard this I am sure but time will help. It took me a long time, almost a year, before I would reach out to other people. It is good that you are able and willing now.
I will tell you that this site has helped me tremendously to break out of my little shell and back on track with life. The best I know to tell you is take your time in healing, do it at your own pace. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself and your kids. Ask for help when you need it, hard to do at times, and try not to let people tell you where you should be with your recovery. However you are feeling is just fine and where you need to be to heel.
If you feel inclined you are welcome to send me a pm. I will also get a hold of Chris and let him know this post is here. I am sure he can be of help to you also. Our hearts go out to you in your time of need.

Fossman, welcome to the group - I'm so sorry for your loss. My wife passed away over four years ago now, and I have two children, 9 and 7 now.

I certainly hope you hang around this group for a while. As well, there are a few boards specifically for young widowed people, that should help - they helped me immensely early on.

I am a South Carolina man. Yes there are guys out here in your boots too. Looks like we have almost same dates in common.
