sadistikal (why this screen name ?),

I actually moved to another country to be able to have a 'normal' life, as a single parent: to find a job in my field (although paid less than before), and state subsidized day care (400US$ per month). I can live on my salary now, well, almost.
What's important to me, what makes it possible, is the short distances from work, to day care to home.
My son is at day care 50 hours a week.
I work 40 hours a week.
Commuting takes 5 hours a week.
The other 5 hours are used for groceries shopping (once a week), lunch breaks, doctors appointments, getting a hair cut, going to the post office...errands in general...and I try to do some sports (swim, gym...) 1 day a week.
It's all about timing and organisation, and I am scared to death of any 'problem', e.g. the car breaks down, I break a leg, Ian at hospital...because we have no backup of any sort, no family, no friends (we moved here only 3 months ago and when would I socialize ?!).

So, we have a wonderful life, I go to work all smiles, and I go pick him up after with even a brighter smile.

Social life: tbd - somewhere in the future

Boyfriend: not applicable, which is good, because I have no extra time anyways.

Hobbies: reading and watching DVDs at home, not enough energy for more, and of course SFV.

That's just life, and for now I am very satisfied with things as they are. At least I get to do the job I love: making aeroplanes.

And then, I am thinking that regarding social life, it will never be like before again, but one day there will be one again, and quantity will replace quality (how many friends does one need ? ),

hang in there

Daniela

Just a quickie...

Ebay. It's not an overnight process, but there is money to be made! If you can dedicate a half hour each day to selling on online auctions, you'll be able to start pulling in a little extra income. Along with the great advice given above, it's something to consider. Best wishes!
