Hi out there! I'm a single mother, 34 y/o from Texas. I have two children- a daughter who is 15, and a son who is 12. I've been a single mom since each of my children were born- never been married. My kids have different sperm donors- one pays child support (forced) and the other pays nothing (although I have orders).

I also am the single mother to biracial children- which made my venture into motherhood a bit different given that my parents didn't have anything to do with us until my daughter was almost 2 years old.

I'm a caseworker at the welfare office in Texas, and that job is what keeps me going. I interview 'me' everyday in the job and can relate to everything that my clients are going through- although I received a layoff notice on 10/3/05 because the state is going to privatize most of what we do. So, as the sole income, I'm looking to lose that and all the stability it brings and now must search for a new profession- I've worked there since I was 20 years old.

I've only been in one long term relationship- which ended badly as I was cheated on. It was quite the drama filled soap opera one would imagine- the only 'dad' my kids had ever had turned around and traded us in for another person- so that was quite an adventure- and one I won't be repeating anytime soon.
