Happy St. Pat's day everyone! I'm new and would just like to know that there is someone else in the world that is going through/has gone through a simular situation as I am. I'm 5mths pregnant, and just can't seem to be happy like I thought I would be. This was unplanned, bad timing and the father is not a part of my life(other than to discuss how the baby's doing)..I had always dreamed of the day I would be "with child" and even said at one point that if "I'm not pregnant by the time I'm 30, I'm headin to the bank." Be careful what you wish for, although I do have days that I would'nt change it for the world-it's so hard emotionally and physically to do this alone. Any words of advice, suggestions? Thanks for the support!

Welcome to the board ggmum. What you are feeling is normal...even for a married mother to be. Pregnancy can be scary as you enter into the "unknown" and the whacked out hormones don't help the matter any. I won't tell you that any part of single parenting is easy, but it is the most rewarding thing i've ever done. This is a great place to come for support/advice/or just a good laugh when you need it. Nobody here will let you go through this alone so feel free to unload anytime you need to.
