Hi all! Thought it would be appropriate to indtroduce myself before jumping right in. I'm a 32-year-old single mom of twins in Arkansas. Their father and I were not married and he took off as soon as I found out I was having twins. We're having the expected legal battles over support but otherwise he isn't very involved (He sees them for a couple of hours every few weeks).
I've found some boards for parents of multiples but this is the first for single parents in general. Since we have such a unique experience, I think maybe this will be more helpful.

I am a non-custodial mom of a son (14) and a daughter(7). They both live in Dallas, TX and I live in memphis, TN.I was looking for a NCP support group (message board), but having a hard time. I would like to meet other women in a similar situation and discuss things.Just because we don't have custody does not mean that we are bad people or bad parents. There have been a series of events and bad choices that have led up to this, but my future is looking brighter for me and my kids.
