Hi to all, I have been on my own with my girls (2,4, and 6) for 3 weeks now. And I must admit Iam enjoying it. There have been hassles such as Child Services saying they will be in danger as Iam Partially Sighted. But I have had years to get it right. So there will be no problem. Just lots of hard work. It looks strange pushing a stroller with a White Stick (Symbol Cane) attached to it.But I don't care.
Last night my Ex said that she was with someone else already. And that she wanted the girls this weekend.Iam in a quandry because I don't know this guy.But if I don't take them I will be in breach of visitation rights.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

If might ask, why is the mother out of the picture and not with her children? If you are partially sighted this must be really diffucult for you.

Mark,
My hat's off to you for taking care of your girls! Am I correct in understanding that there is some kind of official visitation order? Does it say anything about the parents not being allowed to have boyfriend/girlfriends overnight when the kids are there?

I would imagine that your girls would look forward to a visit with their mom. It would be good for them to know she hasn't abandoned them. Do you think they would be safe and cared for if they spent the weekend with their mother, regardless of the man? If not, try to convince the mom that a one-day visit would be better for the kids. If they spend the weekend and things don't go well, document, document, document.

I know this is a tuff one but if she has visitation rights and no stipulation on who can be present during her visitation with the children you have to trust her judgement. Just as she will have to trust yours when you decide to bring someone in your life.
