Hello, I`m new to this so please bare with me.I live in Elizabeth,N.J. with my 7 yr old son. I`m seeking advice or knowledge about finding a house for single low income fathers.My gross is about 25,000-27,000 thanks alot for the advice,

Thoron,
Perhaps check with your county for any housing programs. I know there are programs here in Cali where you can get some assistance in getting a house, for low income families that qualify. Check for Housing Dept. or somesuch thing in your area.

Also, check to see if there is Habitat for Humanity in your area--it is an international ministry. I just got a house through them. It was a lot of work, but I got a brand new house for less than I would pay in rent. I got to help build it, and there is no interest on my mortgage payments. It was one of the greatest blessings of my life. It is not a free handout, so don't expect it to be, but you can't beat the deal! Here in Georgia, we also have Miracle Making Ministries. They build houses sometimes too. As a matter of fact, I think theirs are free and built in a single weekend. Just some ideas...
