It seemed like a good site at first but little by little I am beginning to believe it is all about the money.

Nah, it really isn't about the money here....really. You are more than welcome to join in any of the conversations going on, create new topics if you wish to talk about something specific. After you've been a member here and contributed (50 posts) you can even get access to the PM feature at no charge. Some of that was changed with the last site upgrade due to spammers joining up simply to send solicitation to members via private messages, which is annoying. We're here to support each other not sell each other things Smiler
Yet also keep in mind, it costs money to to maintain a site...software, servers, etc. so yeah, some members donating money is actually what keeps this site existing, as do the sponsors.
No one is any less important here for not donating. Again....feel free to join in any of the conversations, post advice, ask questions...that's what we're here for Smiler

COSMICJUDGE

I work with kids in low income families, and daily I see how a lack of money is allowed to ruin families. I work with a girl who is 15 years old, who never had formal education in her life...I ask to simply cover the costs of the materials. I see and face injustice on a daily basis.

Let's take the legal field as a great example. People with little money and they can't afford a lawyer to fight for their kids rights....That is enourmous pain.....Yet lawyers are making a money...Lose your kids or not...as long as they get paid.

How about dentists...they make a ton of money...yet they would rather see a kid in pain because the parent has no money or insurance to pay the bill...that's one bitter experience to go through.

How about kids with chemo, or a mother or father in chemo who cannot afford to pay for some chemo treatments....The kids have to watch that....that is in my mind...murder.

You tell me what society has come to when it comes to helping people.....

Then you come across a site like SFV who don't even require YOU to spend a dime if you don't have it, and we automatically assume it is about the money.

Let me help you see that this is a great forum because I have personally received support and given support.

Wanna check it out? Click on my name, and you will be able to read everything I have put out there.

If you start seeing the GOOD in the world, things will be better. You might actually see some very gifted and caring people in here. And no I don't think all lawyers and dentists and doctors are crooks...was just making a point.

WHen I want a psychology session, I have to pay for it to take care of my own issues so I can help other people....cause I believe I can only teach what I have mastered.

When I need a haircut I have to pay, and when I need food, a house anything in this life we have to pay.

Here is a forum where everyone is equal irregardless of age, race, ***... and money.

Enjoy it.

Really Cosmicjudge. I am new round here to and was wondering what gave you the impression it is all about the money? Haven't felt that way at all so was wondering why you do? I know donations/ memberships are encouraged but are certainly not a requirement to use the forum.
