Talked to my attorney today and she said that one of the judges retired on Friday, so they had a big party at the court house and very little work got done and I didn't get a ruling. So I am hopeful that I will hear something today.

Well that was nice of them to have a party when work needs to be done. Go figure!!! Still keepin fingers crossed for ya Dali, I know its nerve racking. Please let us know ASAP.

You wouldn't want a thing like custody of your child to get in the way of their party would you? These are big, important people that earn a living by being so much better than us that they can pass judgement on others. Don't cloud their minds with things like the welfare of your child. That would be selfish.
Please let us know when the kings and queens of morality come down from their high horses and render a decision.
I am very irritated at this Dali. I can only imagine how you must feel. I hope you hear something today.

OMG I can not believe it has been a week and still nothing. What a wonderful world we live in where interest of a child can be put off an indeterminant amount of time. I am sure that they have other cases, and that some of them may impact a families life together. But when I was in court and they had a whole days docket for one court room filled with college kids being arranged for PAULA charges it makes me sick that because they make money off the fines that those kinds of court issues would take precednt over a family law case. What a sad sad system.

After what I went through in court with my ex. Reschedules, postpones, her not showing, Leaf Erickson day, etc.
Im not surprised in the least. Not to mention how much the lawyers are making off of it. My divorce / custody hearings took almost a full year. Luckily for me things worked out for the most part. Hope you can say the same when the dust settles.

Keep hanging in there for a little while longer Dali. I'm sure it feels like forever though. It'll happen soon we hope.

What's a PAULA charge? And how could this possibly take over a week? This is nuts!

PAULA is possesion of alcohol under the legal age.

I had a night mare about this last night around 3:45am, and couldn't sleep after that, and it has been all I can do to stay at work today. This is definately testing my yoga patience techniques to their fullest.

omF'ng, the judge still has not made a ruling, I am so upset, I had to go get sick in the bathroom. I don't know how you people deal with this crap, and I don't know how much more I can take.

Wow Dali, I can't believe this!!! I can only begin to imagine what you must be going thru. You would think family law would take precedant over the PAULA charges. Sorry you have to go thru this alone. Stay strong!!

Still no ruling, my attorney said if we haven't gotten one by the end of next week she will file a petition or something but that it could piss off the judge. In the mean time, I'll just crawl into a corner and go insane. I am doing my best to hold it together but this is the hardest thing I have ever been through. When my first wife left me and the kids it wasn't this bad because no one was trying to take my kids away from me. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Well it has been 2 weeks, and still no ruling. My attorney says to be patient (easy for her to say). Not eating, and not sleeping well, lots of bad dreams and anxiety. But I am drinking lots of
Propel and taking vitamins. I am hopeful that I will hear something before the holiday, but I am not holding my breath.
