Hello I am new to this here, I would like to share my story. I am a single dad (raising son by myself) and I found out, after numerous counseling sessions, and 2 hospitalizations, that my 7 year old son is bi-polar. I am looking to talk to other single dads out there..preferrably ones that raise their children alone. I am looking for someone just to talk to and take a load off if needed....you can email me if you wish as well. Smiler

Hello Christopher,

Although I am not a "single dad" I am the mother of a 7 year old who went through some tests several months ago for the same disorder. Although the tests were inconclusive he still shows some bi-polar signs. I would love to chat with you. My icq# is 175277456.

Hi Christopher,
I am not a father of a bi polar child but I am the ex husband whos wife had it. (Its one of the reasons we are divorced. She didnt want to help herself to get better) I dont know if I can be of help but I sure can listen to you if you need to vent.

((Chris and son)) i am not a dad but single mom. What symptoms did your son exhibit for you to take him for testing and what sort of test did they do. It's hard being a single parent at anytime, but when you have a child with a ongoing illness it is double. I hope you are finding support groups in your area not just for you but your son. please feel free to tug my ear anytime venus327us*aol.com
