I was always curious how wild you guys really were or if it was all just for show. Hmmmm you don't have a giant battleship tattooed on yer chest do ya? I shouldn't ask so many stupid questions I'm just in a silly mood tonight.

Hi paulj & binarian Smiler

I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread!

#1st - to paul ... You've been thru a lot. I can certainly relate to a great deal of what you wrote - tho my ex did not leave me ... for another man. Wink

I think you should listen to your friends. If they say you are a good catch - I bet you are! Just give it some time. I was married for a long time as well, and things are different the second time around. I have not had any luck meeting anyone - but I get a lot of support from the folks here on this board - and I am learning to be more patient about it.

Good luck.

Binarian ... ~waves~ You are obviously very good at all things computer Wink ... what does your name mean? Are you a programmer?

Lastly, I was not able to see much on the mini video - it was a nicely done page, but the video was very short - and never really focused on anyone - except for a person outside. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, or not. Smiler

I am a programmer, that's why my site looks it was done by a middle schooler, I'm no kind of an artist.

You lost me on the mini video tho...

Scoutmom, I've got too much hair on my chest for a tattoo <arrrgghh> [that's a pirate noise] and my son is laughing about this.

We men, (ok, not all us)have fragile egos, this kind of thing really screws with your brain. Talk about shaking someones confidence and shattering their self-worth. It makes you wonder how much of man you really are; you ask yourself questions like, "Could I have been more of this or that?" or Is there something wrong with me?

Now add to that, when you're trying to get on with your life, ladies cancelling dates, (OK, it was only once) online connections asking for you picture only to discontinue contact when you do send a photo, or when your are contacted by interested parties, they are either 15 years older or 300 + lbs. Or god forbid, the rash of beauties (at least from their pictures) that contact me from Russia. Who knows whether to believe that or not.[/qb]
BTW...I can't believe I've written in this thread a few times already without saying great post paul! omg...you had me nodding my head along with you the entire time as I read...I had trouble finding a reasonable amount to quote in my response...I didn't wanna cut anything out...the ego crush thing...the online dating experience...I can *so* relate...

lol...although, personally, I haven't found the catch in the mail order bride thing (assuming you want more kids)...what exactly is so wrong about it?

Later,
Bobby

Wow,
Hi everybody. Thanks for all the support, it is so awesome! And the feedback really helped. I don't know why it's taken so long. Maybe it's all a matter of timing. Let me see if I can cover everybody.

On relating to what I posted: I'm so sorry, I wish you really couldn't, but I'm glad you can cause that helps me out.

Thanks for the comments on the video link: Actually I didn't do it. My kids did! It's about 3.5 minutes long. They had to make it really small other wise the file was about 500 megs. Here it is again in case you missed it:

Russian Brides: I found out it's a scam to get you to send money to ladies or even just scumbags posing as young ladies.

On posting a picture:
Thank for the help. I'll find a site to post my crappy pictures to the do what you said.

Amazing what a difference 24 hours can make. this time yesterday I was pretty screwed up.

In the past 24 hours I have posted to no less than 10 forums. More like my old self again.

Thanks again guys (ladies). :thanks:

I hear you, Paul. Strange that participating here would make a difference in our lives, but seems like that's the case. Helps me.

Lol, aren't kids just wonderful. Please don't tell me this is what I have to look forward to when he hits puberty and get that smart mouth. I gues for now I'll just enjoy him telling me how wonderful and beautiful I am. Do you think if I have him neutered now he'll be able to keep his nicer temperment?

After reading so much about teen pregnancy and unplanned pregnancies over the last week I have seriously considered vasectomy though. How else can I keep that boy in line when he gets older. I mean if he has a libido like his mother I am in for a world of grief. Yeppers, I think a little snip snip would work out just fine.
