Hey you!!
Things are good, today I went to mapp class(but of required classes to take before adoption) and the class had different speakers and their experiences with adoption. It was informative and encouraging. I also come home and mowed the lawn (with the help of a good friend) so today has been a somewhat busy day.

I am kind of in a weird place emotionally coz now that all the documents of my homestudy are complete I now know its just a matter of time. It feels a little like finding out your pregnant... join me in prayers.

How are you? How is the baby? how is everything? tell me

Hey Girlie - The parenting class sounds great. I wish I had the chance to take some before Faith was born. I did not know they even existed. It would have been so helpful for so many things. It is funny how much of it is really instinctual though. I have a bunch of books folks gave me at my shower - problem is, I was in the hospital, I gave birth 3 days before my shower - ha ha. So I really did not read much at first. The first few weeks are a blur of tears, boobies, and diapers. But as I read it was nice going "I do that. I do that too."

Congrats on all going well! Not that there was any doubt Wink I hope your wait is shorter than 9 months!!

Now, go out and buy a thing, then take a picture of you holding it and post that pic as your signature. We want to see that happy mama to be smile!

Ok,ok.... I keep going to the store anyway. Pretty soon the cashiers will notice and walk over and say "ma'am can we help you with that?"
Smiler

Today everything aches from all the hardwork yesterday... but I must push on.

Do you do your own yard work or do you have help?

I know, I spent 6 hours cleaning out my basement and dragging things to the curb for big trash day with the help of a 16 year old employee. When I woke up the next morning, there was an 18-wheeler on my chest, I could barely breathe much less move! Then as I limped over to the bathroom, it was like a mariachi (sp?) band as each bone cracked and snapped like mini firecrackers. I had to laugh at my own patheticness (well, it is a word now)

I dont cut the lawn anymore, but I do all the weeding, and trimming of hedges, raking of leaves, the day after the basement I spread 600 pounds of topsoil - and I'm less than half done. So, yup, I feel your pain girl.

I rationalize that this is keeping me young and in shape so I can chase after fireflies with Faith in a few years. And maybe, just maybe, God-willing another child, or two, or ten! ha ha ha. Honestly, I'd love to custom build a house in the shape of a shoe and embrace the little old lady who lived in a shoe lifestyle!!!! Yea, maybe I should switch to decaf afterall....

You are too much......600 pounds of topsoil? The previous owner of my house was an avid gardner but me am just into survial(sp) I just want to worry about mowing the lawn and nothing else. I am no Martha Stewart just the basics for me right now. But you sound a alot more experienced than me if you can handle 600 pounds of topsoil.

I am hoping and praying that by the end of this week I will have an appointment with the Social Worker set for the first home visit( they don't come to your house until all the documents are together).... I am praying and hoping to have my homestudy completed, submitted and approved by the agency by mid next month...... pls join me in prayers.

Definitely praying for you sugar.

I have a big day planned with Faith. I decided to create a Mother's Day album. Once a year she and I will have a professional photographer take a Mother's Day photo of the two of us. I will have a special album just for these photos that will hopefully carry on forever. She might hate them when she is 12 or 13, but I think it will be amazing when it is me, Faith and her daughter! This could go on for generations. Fun!

hey girlie, welcome back. i wondered what happened to you. i was secretly hoping that you had gotten immediate approval and were in a flurry of taking care of a new child! but this is almost as good.

AwardC O N G R A T U L A T I O N S Award on being a United States Citizen! woo hoo!!! Sweet Hearts

things here are crazy and i am so far over my head that i may not have to dye my roots for a while. this too shall pass. 4 months from today the summer rush will be over. so if i can live through the next 4 months of pure h3ll i'll be good for the following 8 months until next may. or until i sell the inn. someone looked at it last week. that would be soooooo good for me if it sold and i could get out of here. send positive thoughts my way <grin>

keep me posted on the homestudy and congrats again. i am so proud of you sugar!

Hey you...

Thanks!!! I am pretty excited about being American.
But yesterday I had a melt down with one of the ladies I am working with on my homestudy. I found out yesterday that one of my documents still had not been mailed out(its been a month) I just started to cry and she was sooooooooooo sweet and understanding. She promised it would be handled Monday. Its just that this is the only thing standing between me and my baby... I think she now totally understands how serious I am and will "jump" on things.

So? ur supper busy huh? you can handle it I just know it.

HAPPY, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! GIVE THE BABY A BIG MOTHERS DAY KISS FOR ME Big Grin

You have updated pictures and boy do you look super cute( I am talking about the baby) Just kidding you are both looking pretty good.

As far as the homestudy goes since my meltdown so much has changed.. things are now moving along and I am know working on my profile book, have a meeting with a SW so basically things are great. Someone at another website informed me (after the fact) that tears ALWAYS work. I will have to keep that in my mind.

You both look wonderful and write soon
