I am New to SFV
Posted
I am new to this chat room and messege board. I have a 15 year old young man and he driving me crazy with the girlfriend thing. I have talked to him and we have discussed otherwise sometimes embarassing things. He understands. But, he has not yet settled down into his school work, he thinks he can still play. I think but I am not sure he is trying or he has realized that the teachers are not playing and he has to take health over again before he graduates. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Oh my gosh... I am going through the same thing and my boy is 15 also. Things sure have changed since we were 15. We have had the "talk" and I have made it clear to him to get to know the girl first and be friends. I read a really good book that helped me to discuss things with him and it is called How to talk to your child about sex by J. Eyre. He will be driving soon and I use that as a motivating factor for school and socializing. but it is hard to deal with especially when he is my only child. I can relate. Ugh!!
