Hi,

I'm new to SFV. I'm a 41 with a son 7 and a daughter 6 and I work full time. Recently the visitation situation has changed and my ex has the children every other week for the entire week Frowner This will sound crazy, but I'm having trouble adjusting to the weeklong downtime. Any advice?

Hi, this is my first time on here. i am 41 and a single mom of a 12y boy. I really am in need of friends now who understand and can relate to what i am now experiencing. I have been divorced for 11yrs and now my ex wants to take custody of my son. i have full physical custody. I am really torn and depressed. my son is my life. now i feel abadoned and he hates me because he is saying he wants to live with his dad. the courts have allowed temporary custody to his father with me now getting visitation. there is more to the story but to lenghty to go into detail on here.

Hi Robin2. I am so sorry for your situation. I don't know what i'd do if my children went to live with their father. It's true irony, I guess, that because I am a single mother of 4, I have no life, yet without them, I have no life. Our children are our lives. I ache for you. Do you live very far apart? Is shared physical custody not feasible? Don't worry about a lengthy story. We all have them Wink Feel free to share whatever you are comfortable expressing.

I am also a 40 year old mom with a 9 year old son and I know exactly what you mean. With work and raising my son there just isn't time to meet new people and when you do there,at 40 something, most of their kids are already grown.I've been visiting this site for awhile now and it's a great place to come to when you just need to talk or vent.Anytime you need to talk I'm at trishl0901@comcast.net
