Hi, I am new here, just became a single father. After 16 of what I thought were great years of marrige, my wife told me she does not love me and probibly never did. Then walked out and moved with a new man. So... after I went crazy, and screamed and howled, here I am. I have a full time job with the Federal Gov, and two beautiful lil angles. Jessie 4 yrs old and Jena, 2. They see thier mother maybe once or twice a week, but I have Custody. I'm trying, and make mistakes. But I love them more then life its self. I know you understand that. Anyways. Hi.

Hi there and welcome! I am sorry to hear of what you have gone through. It will get easier and you will find many here that understand what you are going through. I still make many mistakes but learn from them. I have two little boys that I love more than anything. Welcome and hope you come back often.

It's tough to take care of your kids by yourself but worth it in the long run. Your kids will appreciate it more later in life. Good that you have custody also as there are few of us fathers that do. A friend of mine was divorced two months ago and between the child support and alimony he can't afford to live alone. My ex did the same thing, took off after 8 years and left me with two kids. I know she regrets it now but it's too late.
Her boyfriends have consisted of guys with kids out of wedlock that have support deducted directly from their pay, to deadbeats and drug users. One guy held a knife to her throat one night while the cops sprayed him with mace. I'm just a hard workin guy that comes home every night. You wonder why do they do it. Hang in there. Always remember it's good that you have your kids.

Hi, new here myself, but unfortunately not new to being a single parent. I honestly don't think there is a harder job on this planet than trying to raise a child by yourself. How are you managing? Unfortunately my daughters father has walked and never looked back. My heart aches for her, but what can I do?
