My kids seem to force the drama so I kind of push off dating right now.

This is a little old but if anyone is still reading I prefer men with kids too. Single parent coach was on my same track. And seattle Dad the coffee in bed and breakfast started for the kids.....Wonderful....something I miss deeply

I know how it feels, even though some women here say they don't mind men with children. never met any in mn. both with kids and without, I have ran into a problem with women with kids already and that is the conflict with how to raise children. unfortunely we have different ways and that can make it impossible to get past. I rarely spank, I give mine the look which I have trained since they were young. I am also more inclined to show forgiveness without rubbing salt. ex My son is a teen and one day out of the blue he said he didn't want to live with me but wanted to move in with his mom. His mom and him have always disliked each other, so it was a suprise and it hurt alot!!!! Red Face it hurt made me upset the works, well I let him, It lasted one day before they couldn't stand each other, I felt like saying something to rub it in and everyone i know said I should have said something to teach him a lesson, but instead I just welcomed him home and said I loved him gave him a hug. I saw no reason to be sarcastic, while others dont think that was best, parenting styles are very different and can be another obstacle. but woman will except a man that has a kid but doesn't live with him. I noticed that is never a problem. why?

You didnt rub it in because you are a good parent.and as for the last question I cant answer that because I dont feel that way. Quite he opposit but then again I dont really date therefor cant really know. If someone has a problem with you haveing your son they arent worth it anyway, they wouldnt understand the time it takes to be a real full time parent. Maybe they just dont want to share their man with someone else. Don't know. My problem the few occaisions I have dated was that I could not devote the time to the man that he wanted. But the kids come first

sara great point maybe because they know they can never be number 1 my kids will come first. agreed that if they cant accept my kids they aren't worth it but still stings because I don't see why us single parents aren't worth it we have proven that we stick with who we love. I know everyone here understands because everyone is dealing with it. I guess that why I like it here no one puts me down for my feelings and everyone understands we are fustrated with the opposite *** and even our own lol

MR.R I had a bunch of friends finally convince me to go out one day. Im pretty shy in the real world. A guy kept flirting with me for hours and I finally got enough courage to talk back. I mentioned my daughter and he went and got a beer and never spoke to me again. I laugh about it now but at the time it was a huge slap. I really dont think I have taken anyone flirting in public seriosly ever since

yeah it is a slap in the face, especially since alot of people do in in such a manner that its rude. they can be very cold all the sudden. Its not like you were saying be a daddy or me saying be a mommy. **** I bet it takes awhile to approve of them to be around our kids, we want to get to know them first. When it happens it does sting mighty hard, at least you know you still have what it takes to attract a man even being shy! hopefully one day it is a man thats worth your attention. Smiler
