I was amazingly lucky. I found a lady through a former co-worker who only watched her grandson. They ended up being like family and even made her a room at their house. Went through a lot of people befor I found that perfect person though. Ask friends. If you are going to school then you may have some access to some students that would even be willing to stay overnights at your house, do their studying and take a nap for a bit cheaper and the baby wouldnt even have to leave.

Yes, you will need to find someone who will do overnights. Not sure if you can pay normal rates for childcare, but places like sittercity are an option that I use, as I do not have anyone I know in my area.

Is he/she in daycare now? If not, you need to also come up with a plan on how you will sleep which may mean some good ole daycare, too.

I would definitely want to find somebody who would come and stay at your home, if possible. Best option is always a recommendation from somebody you know and trust, not always possible though so Sittercity, colleges, etc. and do some serious interviewing and reference checking. In a way it is kind of nice, not many waking hours to miss out on when working overnight (but I don't envy the trying to sleep days, get to classes, do homework, etc.) It will all be well worth it!
