Have any of you..parents of bi-raicial children, been out somewhere and gotten weird looks, not to mention people not believing your child is yours, because he/she looks nothing like you??

My son is quite pale compared to me. Nothing about him at this points resembles me in the least.

Yes, indeed it happens. LOL I get looks from all walks of life. I am getting used to it, I must admit. Eventually, he has to look something like me, I hope! LOL

I must say, that is the absolutely ONE thing I love about "mixed kids," you just absolutely NEVER EVER know what you are going to get!!! The end result though, is always BEAUTIFUL!!!

My children's father was protugese, although they all look alike, only my middle son has the olive skin tone, the other two take after me (pale). Most people don't notice too much at first, but when they really look you can see the question on their face, once they hear the kids last name they understand (big portugese community in our city).
All children are beautiful, no matter who they look like; after all, we are all basically the same.

My daughter is mixed irish/white and armenian/iraqi. I constantly have people complimenting her skin tone and asking if she's mixed. I try not to be offended they're probably just curious but it's kinda annoying . In this day and age I'm surprised that people are surprised .

Um, yes. My children look like they were 2 families blended together. With the exception of the youngest, the first four are all from the same parents (even though they don't look like it)

My girls have very dark skin and tight black girls. I'm as white as they come .
I do get over where I adopted from, I gave birth to those girls!!

And as previous post stated, this thread started in 2005. Anyone reading this from back then? Any lessons learned?

I go through this every single day most people look at him and then see me and I can read people's mind. Some make the look like if im kidnapping a little pale boy. Some think im probably his mother's boyfriend. Its usually not until they here him say dad that they dont look away.
