Default any benefits of honor society?

Trying to decide. I mean, I'm busy! Crazy busy. But, if it would look good on a resume, or help in receiving scholarships in the future....or even getting a good job in the future, it may be worth my time. It's not a sorority...it's something else...one of those greek alphabet things (I'd have to look to remember what it was called - are they the same nationwide? or are they school to school different?). Anyhow....I guess I'm asking if anyone has any experience good/bad with anything like this. I was one of the most uninvolved people in high school, so I have no idea if it's even worth it in the long run! I didn't go to one game, dance or any other function. LOL! I hated my peers. I wouldn't necessarily be joining to be anything special cause, I just have no desire for that kind of thing. I am simply looking at the benefits cause let's face it, school is serving a purpose for me. A future for my kids and myself.

do you mean the honor classes?
Cause they give you more points for your grade.

and being part of any society can offer options to their grants or stiffens. Also a way of networking in helping to get a job too.

Being part of an honor society is special. It is also a way to network and build connections and friendships with OTHER people who do well in school, thus tending towards higher paying or more prestigious careers. It's an honor and I can't imagine why you would turn it down.

Thanks....I guess we'll see what happens. I'm still undecided. I don't do well in groups of people I don't know. I completely shut down. Envision those nerdy people who don't socialize well because all they are capable of is brain work.....yep, that's me. Socially inept.
