Default Feeling so down

Im really struggling to cope right now.

I have zero energy, ive been going to bed at 9pm every night and not getting up til at least 10am the next day, and still all i can do is lie on the sofa because im so ______ tired. Today was the worst yet, got up at 10, stayed in my pyjamas all day, only moved off the sofa to get jamie his dinner/supper, to top it all off ive had an absolutely blinding headache all day, no painkillers in the house and cant even muster up the energy to get dressed nevermind go to the shop.

Had a nap at 4pm. Still had no energy when i woke up.

The house is a mess, ive done no washing for 2 weeks, i cant cook anything because i dont have the energy to stand in the kitchen.

I just cant deal with this tiresness any longer.

I know i need to go to the doctors, but the doctors is a 30 minute walk from my house and id probably collapse on the way, even if i got the doctor to come here and visit me id still need to get a prescription and the chemist is right next door to the doctors, so id still have to walk up there. I have absolutely nobody who can drive me up there or go up for me.

I feel like im neglecting jamie because i just dont have the energy to do anything with him. I feel so sad and just wish this tiredness would go away. I was like this when i was pregnant with jamie too, only difference was back then i didnt have a toddler or my own home to look after.

Dont know why im posting, just needed a moan i guess.

JM if I remember correctly, even in the early stages of pregnancy exhaustion is common. However, yours seems extreme. I hope it passes soon.

The first thing I thought was depression, but I guess if your first pregnancy was like this maybe not. How long did this last your first pregnancy?

JM you may not want to hear it, but a doctor will do nothing for you. This is not pregnancy related. You, my dear, are depressed. You need help. Not something you can fix on your own.

I have to agree with the depression. Classic, classic, classic. And quite common in pregnancy. My sister gets the WORST depression when she is pregnant. The hormones make you tired by also mess with the seratonin chemical in your brain. Add to that the JD debacle and you have one hot mess. The statistics are actually 1 in 5 women experience this while pregnant.

You do need to see a doctor. You NEED too. It poses serious medical risks to yourself and your baby. Hit a quick google search and you will find that women that do not treat this problem with drugs, or therapy or a combination of the two, expodentially increase their chances of preeclampsia and birth defects in their children. My sister had both issues with her last baby. Doctor told her a lot of that could have been prevented with treatment while she was pregnant. What concerns me is that Jamie had a cleft palate at birth. While they do not know what causes this in babies, though they strongly suspect heredity and enviro factors, one thing they have found is that babies born with cleft palates, the mom's had a higher percentage of those that suffered from depression.

I know you don't have the energy, but please get some advice/help with this situation before it puts not only Jamie at risk, but the baby too.

If another male can comment.... It is a hard time on your body witth the stress of the changes, Plus the stress with JD.... Make sure to see a Pre-natal Doc.

I was always exhausted during the first trimester, up until about 14 weeks, then my energy came back. Don't be too hard on yourself. Rest if you need it.
Are you taking prenatal vitamins? You could be low on iron, which would also contribute to the fatigue.

I know here in the states, you can buy Prenatal's over the counter, so if you cant make it to the Dr. at least head up to the drug store to get some prenatal's.

Depression coupled with pregnancy...double whammy!! You need to be out of the house, now more than ever!!

Stay in your pajamas and walk 10 feet away from your house and just sit there if you have to. The Vitamin D will do you an enormous amount of good...seriously!!!
I feel like ____ if I do not leave the house all day!!

When i was pregnant with jamie i was like this til about 12 weeks too, then i was absolutely fine til around 20 weeks and it came back for a while, they took my blood and i was anemic, and put on iron tablets.

I dont think it had anything to do with jamies cleft pallet though, that is genetic, some of my dads side of the family had it.

Maybe it is depression, either way i just do not have the energy to make it to the doctors. I almost fainted taking jamie to school last week and thats only 2 minutes away from my house.

I just want to sleep and wake up with some energy. Im soooo tired its unreal.

I just called the doctors surgery, they've arranged for a doctor to come out and see me. No idea when, some time today though. I'll update once ive seen the doctor
