Default Any ideas? #2

I have my laptop on a tray. The purpose is to keep the air flowing under it. I always make sure that the vents are not covered in any way.

That said, certain things cause my computer to just shut itself off. Completely.
One of those things is Hulu The fan starts going like mad and before I can see a whole show it suddenly just quits...no warning, it's like someone flipped a switch.
Then today I downloaded a game off pogo for a free trail. It was totally cool! But, once again....poof!
Maybe this is an overheating issue? The vent areas do get much hotter during these activities, but they are unobstructed, so shouldn't it be able to handle it?.

I dont have a laptop and idk the answer to the heat you produce playing games or watching your videos, and do know they have and bottom seat w/ cooling fans for laptops to keep them cooler while you burn through your fun times.

I have a lap top that used to do that, I put a small external fan next to my computer and that seemed to help.

Yep, it's at the end of it's lifespan. 5 years is pretty good to get out of a laptop. betting it has more than one internal fan and one has quit working.

I got M a fast little on for $500, with Windows 7. Maybe a tax return item for Blue?

I agree that is sounds like a heating issue. You could try operating it in a cool environment, like say, the arctic!

No way! A bus driver, with a dependent, head of household. You should be in a negative tax bracket Not being nosy, I'll shut up now.

It's OK, you're not being nosy! The schools don't take enough out of our checks for taxes. PLUS, I don't get to claim E this year. There goes a grand, plus. I can still claim head of household and the mortgage interest, but...I'm worried. I CANNOT withstand another bill right now.
Since Christmas...CHRISTMAS mind you, I have been hit with homeowners taxes. Personal property taxes. Double electric bills. Car insurance. Homeowners insurance, and a kid not eating most meals at school.......
Thousands in costs, zero in breaks.....

No, I won't be getting a new puter anytime soon.

Blue! Maybe you need a roommate! E and I don't take up much room. We'd pay half of all bills.

CU does have some of the accent, but only because I've lived here for 16 years. I grew up in upstate so I also have a combo hick/canadian accent. I'm kind of a hodgepodge that way!!
Blue....why don't you PM me and tell me what airport you are close to, etc. I think E and I can at least VISIT!
