Ladies. While it's understandable how this thread could hit on some raw nerves, it has been established (several pages/years ago) that the op may have been responding to some young child who had posted that she was gonna try to get pregnant on purpose...cause she thought it was cool to have a kid. No realistic idea what it was like at all.

It is not thought that the op was talking about those of us who were either deserted or divorced or became pregnant by accident...etc.

Kitcal, it's true that she kinda mighta meant you though.....
lmao........

I am so glad that you brought up this point. I actually mention this is my book, It's not just about financially supporting the child on your own, but children need both parents. There are things that a mother cannot provide for a son that only a father can....like how to be a man as he grows into adulthood. Mothers can train a boy on how they should treat girls, but not on how to become a man. Males and females process, communicate and respond to situations differently...they are wired differently purposely. The same goes for fathers when raising daughters. And think about once the child grows up and is around their friends who have both parents. It is not fair to put a child through that experience from a social, psychological and emotional perspective. As parents who became pregnant without being married and decided to raise their children (alone, for a lot of women, which was not by choice). They would more than likely agree to everything that I mentioned and would have preferred for the other parent to be actively involved....or wait until they get married.
