I have three fabulous girls and I live in a small town in WA state. My friends are far away, too busy, married, unavailable, unable to understand, blah, blah, blah.

Getting out is difficult and not very exciting. So I am here to connect with other single parents. And hopefully make some online friends. Which will keep me from going insane, dating stupid men, and committing child abuse. My children tell me that nagging is a form of child abuse.

I have tried starting single parent support groups, but I think we are all too busy to take care of ourselves. But we are better parents if we do.

I guess I have always been so lucky to have great friends! Since my kids have been in school I usually make friends with my kids' friends parents and then we are all at the same place...sports events, school functions etc. It's a great way to meet people sooooooo USE YOUR KIDS!

I also work a home business and chat with people on the phone all day...that's alot of fun too.

Take care and just keep moving along!

Hey Livnloud:
I too am a potential child abuser(by your definition) looking to hang on to my sanity. Thank God I'm past the point of dating stupid men however (at least I hope I am). Friends are a precious commodity at this point for all the reasons you have listed and then some. I have three blessings myself - two boys and one girl. I don't get out much and life here (in MA) is pretty boring. I'd love to connect online with someone in similar circumstances. You sound like a real riot. What say you? --TJ

Im a single dad that has raised my daughter since she has been 5 and half months old. I would like to meet people that are interesting to talk to and can help me keep my sanity too. I hope through this site to be able to meet some interesting dads and moms.
