Everyone's welcome,EH!

Hi all you crazy canucks. I think it's time to get an idea of who, where and how many we are. We have our own space so let's use it. Let's keep it brief so it easy to check up on. Me first. (favourite hockey team is optional)

jaydsdad- Ottawa- 1 girl age 11

What do you mean where? I have passed through Kenora several times and if ever there was a picture post card Christmas town, it's Kenora after a fresh snowfall. Beautiful.

So sad. Those Phoenix Jets (?) aren't so hot. With or without a strike. Oops. I hope there aren't any Jets fans in the room. Or leaf fans for that matter.

Glad you found us Trish.

I'm a Canadian but my son and I are living in southern California. I'm originally from Montreal and my boy was born in Toronto. I'm more of a baseball than a hockey fan and have close blood family on both sides of the border. Both my parents' families are from the same village in Greece but one emigrated to Philadelphia and the other to Montreal. I know it's heretical for a Canadian to say this, but with my background, the similarities between Canadians and Americans are more important than the differences, are in fact more in the nature of regional differences within the same ethnos, to use a Greek word, like Greeks and Greek-Cypriots.

My ex lives in Toronto and flies out here, too often for my liking. We've had court dealings in both countries. California granted me custody and Ontario more or less confirmed it. Needless to say, we travel with custody orders but immigration has come to know our situation well. Our life is difficult but very very interesting and with its own unique rewards.

Hey Baba,
Welcome home..er whatever. Your insights will be greatly appreciated here due to your ability to travel in both legal worlds.

Hope to hear lots from you.

Thanx Big Guy. Unfortunately, I do have lots of experience with both legal systems, as well as with the whole Hague Convention process. A lot of hard-won insights that can be shared.

Here's to a happier and healthier 2005 to all!

LOL...welcome to the site. With such an energetic child, have you thought about maybe shin pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads or gloves to protect her. Best to start them young.

Hi mom2b and welcome,

My heart always holds a little space for the Flames. I lived there when they moved from Atlanta and followed them until they won the cup in '89. I cheer for the Sens now but either way I'm cheering for a winning team.

There are a lot of great people on this site so enjoy the support and friendship.

See ya around.

Nice to hear from you again Beacher. Eating well? Or strangely?

Hi littleladies, I know Peterborough and the Kawarthas well. Welcome.

It is my solemn duty to convert all leafs fans to SENS fans by the end of the next hockey season(whenever that may be ).

Big Dave,
Just peeking in and saw this. First you'll want to resize it smaller, to about 250 pixels. I can help if you need. Then rehost it for a different link. Then add after the link with no spaces and it will work, just takes a little while to appear in the forum most times.

Oh, and welcome to those that I haven't welcomed elsewhere on the board

Hey Dave,

Pre-novice? Glad for your boy but c'mon. But really c'mon. Okay, you win this round but c'mon.

And Dave, read Don's post. You have to add the "". Then your pic will show as an image. Did you remember to resize? We can help with that too. But I peeked and your son is a handsome devil.

SENS rule!
